[1] Darren Millar: Good morning, everybody, and welcome to today’s meeting of the Public Accounts Committee. I have the usual housekeeping notices. As everybody is aware, the National Assembly for Wales is a bilingual institution and people should feel free to contribute to today’s proceedings in either English or Welsh, as they see fit. There are headsets available for translation and sound amplification. I encourage Members and others in the room to switch off their mobile phones and other electronic equipment, because they can interfere with the broadcasting equipment. In the event of a fire alarm, we should follow the directions of the ushers. We have not received any apologies for absence today, so we are expecting a full house.

[2] Darren Millar: We have a number of papers to note. We have the minutes of our meetings on 16 and 21 January. I take it that those are noted. We have an exchange of letters between the Auditor General for Wales and the Permanent Secretary on health finances 2012-13, which we can discuss a little later on in terms of the assistance that that gives to informing our report on that matter. We have two items of correspondence on unscheduled care. We have had a letter from David Sissling answering some of the questions arising from our oral evidence session with him and also some information from Hywel Dda Community Health Council. That is a report that the community health council produced after some survey work in accident and emergency departments in the area. That is a very interesting read. If Members are happy, I will take it that those items are noted.
